Planking is an extreme sport and an art. It is a complex process of putting owns self in dangerous and socially awkward situations for the pure pleasure and adrenaline rush that an extreme sport brings (as well as online recognition!)

So how do i plank? Its quite simple really but as with any sport there are a few basic rules to follow. After lying face-down on or next to your chosen subject (this can be just about anything but for beginners I recomend basic items such as tables and chairs.), you need to straighten your arms and legs, and point your fingers and toes like this:
Its quite simple once you get the hang of it and soon you'll be learning new techniques and master some of the more technical planks. Thats what makes it extreme. Extreme Planking is basically planking but in very dangerous places, with perfect form and precision.

Of course the final step in the planking process is uploading a picture of your plank to the internet through your favourite site (Facebook etc) and having others rate it.
